We are very much looking forward to publishing your fine Article, Title of Article, in ELR--The Environmental Law Reporter (ELR). To gain the widest possible circulation, we remain alert to opportunities to make the work available in other formats.
To facilitate the publication process, I request that you sign a written grant of permission to the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) to publish your work. Please sign the attached letter and return it to our offices, attention Managing Editor. In return, ELI will continue to strive diligently to expand the work's readership and maximize the prestige associated with being an ELR author.
We will send you five copies of the issue of News & Analysis that contains your article free of charge. If you would like additional copies at $5 a piece plus shipping, please let us know how many you would like in the space provided in the attached permission agreement. Additionally, if you would like a PDF copy of your article e-mailed to you, please provide us with your e-mail address in the space provided in the agreement. If you have any questions, please give me a call.

I authorize ELI, and others acting with ELI's permission, to publish worldwide, in English or in other languages, the article tentatively entitled Article Title (the Work) for publication in News & Analysis, and to authorize and engage in the reproduction, republication, copying, distribution, adaptation, and public display of the work in print and in present and future forms of electronic media, computerized retrieval systems, and similar forms.
I affirm that the Work I contributed is original and that I am the sole author of the Work, except for any material subject to an existing copyright, for which I have secured the permission of the copyright owner to use the material in the Work, and that this license includes or will be extended to ELI as the publisher of the Work. I also affirm that the Work is factually accurate and does not infringe upon any statutory or common law copyright or other right and does not contain obscene, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful material or violate any right to privacy.
